What can I say about Wika? Besides the fact that she is the perfect pet, she's a great show dog, mother, and a clown. Wika was bred by Dorothy Warren of Ranchlake Kennels in Saratoga, California and has been mine since she was 8 weeks old. She was born February 10th 1996. She finished her championship quickly and then in 1997, she was BOS at the Shiba Inu National specialty. She is a multiple BOB winner and group placer. She was also BOS the first day of the 1998 National specialty.

She's got a typical Shiba personality. She's full of herself and slightly aloof. She's actually outgoing with strangers, but only when she wants to be. She's produced four champions and her grand great and great-great grand-pups are just starting their show careers. She passes on her stable, shiba-typical temperment to her offspring.

She only looks better as time goes by. At 6 1/2 almost 12 years old, she's in perfect health and looks fantastic. She shows occasionally - and she still remembers what to do in the ring. I was planning to bring her to the national this year, it being the 10 year anniversary of her going BOS, but Kat's puppies are due just a few weeks before so I can't go to California.

Wika is OFA Excellent, Cerf Normal, OFA Thyroid Clear, OFA Elbows normal, and patellas normal. She has produced red, red sesame and cream puppies. She is a clear red, but obviously a carrier of the cream gene. She stands 14 1/2 inches tall and weighs in 17 1/2 pounds.
