Available dogs and expected puppies
Upon request, references to people who are owned by dogs we've bred are available. Pictures and video of adult show dogs we've bred are also available upon request.I've been having a problem with my e-mail. We have puppies! Born on May 15th - three red girls. All of the girls are placed. If one does not make the cut to be a show dog, then she will be available to a pet home in mid to late July when she is 10 weeks old or so.
And we have more puppies! Two red boys born May 23rd. Both boys are placed, one 100%, the other has a home if he turns out to be a show dog. I will not know until he is @ 10 weeks old. If he doesn' t make the cut as a show dog, then he will be available in mid to late July.
Planned Litters -- Puppies expected mid-May 2008
Winter/Spring 2008 litter (Ch Terlingua's Mahoutsukai) Kai x (Ch Katai's Yukiko Hime Go) Kiko
Kai was in the top ten both of the two years he was showing in very competitive California competition. Both have very nice pedigrees, including multiple National Specialty Winners and Beikoku Winners. Kai's parents are Kuroichi and Wika - both proven winners and producers (both are ROM) - Kiko is line bred on the Go Gold Typhoon (Nippo name Ryuukyuu Uruma) kennel.
We may have two litters of puppies due in May - Kai went through two screen windows and over a chain link fence to breed Kat. We'll know closer to the due date. Sigh, who would have thought he had it in him at ten years old?Update - Kat is, indeed, carrying passengers. Kat is a proven producer with 3 of 5 in her first litter now champions and three from the second litter about to become show dogs -- Jack and Daku have had their first shows and both are pointed and both have puppy group placements - all from the 6-9 class! Dash, from the first litter is currently the number one Shiba in Canada! After only one weekend out! Go Dash!
We expect to have 3-5 puppies available to go to their new homes in July. All will be red (though we *could* end up with a cream or two. Slight chance, but still a chance. Kai's mother is a carrier of the cream gene.)
Puppy Prices:
Show Potential Male - $750 -- co-ownership with breeder until the dog has completed his championship. Breeder retains the right to two breedings over the dog's lifetime. A replacement is NOT given if the dog does not turn out. In the event the dog does not turn out as anticipated the dog can be neutered and then placed into a pet home with breeder's approval and any fee going to owner (not breeder.)
Show Potential Male - $1500 - outright purchase. A replacement puppy will be given in the event the puppy develops a disqualifying fault (over/under sized, bite goes off, Cryptorchid or Monorchid) -- original goes back to breeder for placement into pet home.
Show potential female - $2200 -- all show potential females are placed on a co-ownership basis (unless purchaser is an experienced Shiba person with a solid reputation.) In the case the dog does not turn out, a replacement will be given and original goes back to breeder.
All pets (male and female) --- $1200 -- all pets are placed with limited registration and spaying/neutering is required.
We have no adult dogs available.
